Singapore, October 22, 2025 – Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Sarah Pearson as the Honorary Chairperson of the Orange Movement™, a global initiative that aims to mobilize $10 billion by 2030 to empower 100 million women, girls, and gender minorities to drive gender-transformative climate action, sustainable peace, and economic prosperity.

Dr. Pearson brings decades of experience combining a unique blend of scientific expertise, commercial acumen, and global leadership, with a distinguished career spanning FTSE 100 multinationals, government, and academia. She currently serves as Chancellor of the University of New England Australia, as a Member of the Australian Federal Government’s Foreign Investment Review Board, and holds roles in renowned organizations in the superannuation and VC sectors.

In her previous role as Chief Scientist and Chief Innovation Officer at Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), she led national innovation strategies that connected research, technology, and entrepreneurship across the Asia-Pacific. Dr. Pearson has also held board positions across numerous sectors, including transport, healthcare, and finance. She holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Oxford.

Her appointment lends considerable momentum to the Orange Movement, with the initiative having gained over 292,000 supporters and US$1.4 billion in committed capital, and directly uplifted more than 3.16 million lives.
