The Orange Movement™ is a global initiative mobilizing capital to empower women, girls, and gender minorities as leaders in climate action, sustainable peace, and economic prosperity. Inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 on Gender Equality, orange defines a strategic convergence where inclusion and sustainability drive more effective outcomes. Through the development of orange capital instruments, we activate financial markets to address persistent funding gaps and position underrepresented leaders as central actors in delivering the Sustainable Development Goals.
Orange Economy Summit Continues to Sri Lanka
On 28 October 2026, the Orange Economy Summit arrives in Colombo to bring together leaders across government, capital markets and investment. The Summit will explore how Orange Capital can mobilize investment, strengthen Sri Lanka’s competitiveness and build a more inclusive and resilient economy.

India’s Next Frontier in Sustainable Finance: The Orange Economy
India’s MSME bank credit reached US$360 billion in FY2025, yet an estimated US$350 billion addressable credit gap remains, highlighting the opportunity to mobilize capital for inclusive, climate-resilient growth. On 15 October in New Delhi, IIX and MSC (MicroSave Consulting) will convene the Orange Economy Roundtable India to explore financing models, data and policy frameworks that can unlock investment and advance India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 ambition.
Orange Bonds Drive Inclusive Development Across APAC
IIX’s Women’s Livelihood Bond 7 (WLB7) was fully subscribed at US$92 million, marking the largest issuance in the Women’s Livelihood Bond series and projecting impact across approximately 1 million lives in Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia and the Philippines. The Orange label continues to grow at approximately 30% quarter-on-quarter, as dual-labeled issuances integrate gender and social impact into existing green, social and sustainability-linked bonds to expand inclusive financing across emerging markets.
